Today’s offering features just five trailers, one showing the return of District 9 director Neill Blomkamp, as well as two of the year’s biggest films from two of today’s most acclaimed directors, Academy Award nominees Christopher Nolan and Denis Villeneuve.
First up, an aspiring magician moves to Las Vegas to become famous only to become a male stripper in the comedy Back on the Strip. Paul Atreides continues his trek across Arrakis to seek vengeance against those who destroyed his family in Dune: Part Two. The real life story of Jann Mardenborough, from race car gamer to actual professional race car driver, gets told in Gran Turismo. Jason Statham returns to kick more giant shark ass in The Meg 2: The Trench. And lastly, in Oppenheimer, director Christopher Nolan brings to the screen the true life story of renowned physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer’s creation of the atomic bomb.
