Good morning, readers! Welcome back for more movie trailers in today’s Trailer Tuesday. This week is a big offering of trailers, with a couple highly anticipated releases and some intriguing indie flicks soon to be hitting a big screen or streaming service near you.
First up, Abby Ryder Fortson, Academy Award nominee Rachel McAdams and Academy Award winner Kathy Bates bring to life Judy Blume’s best-selling coming-of-age novel Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret. Noemie Merlant gets thrown into postpartum hell in the psychological thriller Baby Ruby. Academy Award winner Joaquin Phoenix plays a neurotic man who ventures on a bizarre trip back home to his mother in horror auteur Ari Aster’s Beau Is Afraid. Jena Malone investigates a remote Scottish convent following the death of her priest brother, and uncovers far more than she bargained for in the horror thriller Consecration. In Marlowe, Academy Award nominee Liam Neeson plays a tough private eye hired to find the ex-lover a glamorous heiress. In Sharper, Academy Award winner Julianne Moore begins a relationship with a wealthy businessman, while her disgraced con-artist son, played by Sebastian Stan, aims to scam his way through them to a massive payday. Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel’s wedding day is turned completely upside-down when their entire party is taken hostage and it’s up to them to save them all in Shotgun Wedding. In Somebody I Used to Know, Alison Brie is a workaholic whose world is shaken up when she returns to her hometown and reconnects with her ex-boyfriend Sean, played by Jay Ellis. And lastly, in Your Place or Mine, Academy Award winner Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher are exes turned best friends who switch lives for a week and discover that what they currently want may not be what they really need.
